LOS ANGELES, Calif. --
Attorneys for Katherine Jackson and Michael Jackson’s estate were in court on Monday handling matters relating to the singer’s fortune and two women with various maternity claims also showed up creating a media circus.
One, who calls herself Billie Jean Jackson, and the other, Claire Elisabeth Fields Cruise – who believes she’s the mother of Tom Cruise’s son – both showed up in the courtroom at the Los Angeles Superior Court.
During the middle of the estate hearing, Billie Jean stood up and said, “I’m Blanket’s mother,” referring to Jackson’s youngest son, Prince Michael II.
“I would like all proceedings in the estate to be halted until a forensic scientist looks at signatures on the will because I believe they were forged,” she continued.
The judge told Billie Jean that Prince Michael II was currently in a guardianship and that the court would address her claims on September 10.
Fields Cruise also caused a frenzy during a press conference outside the courthouse, claiming she filed paperwork at the courthouse last Friday declaring herself as the sole biological mother of Jackson’s three children, Prince Michael, 12, and Paris-Michael, 11, Prince Michael II, 7.
While speaking to reporters, she said she married Jackson on Oct. 21, 1983 in Princeton, New Jersey. She went on to claim that the singer was brought to her New Jersey home to marry her for “business purposes.”
She said he never lived with Jackson or met any of the three children.
The woman also claimed to own half of the Beatles catalogue.
In what may be the most outlandish and shocking claim of the day, the woman also told reporters that she and Jackson are the biological parents of Tom Cruise’s son, Connor Cruise.
