LOS ANGELES, Calif. --

Jamie Lynn Spears’ life has been played out in the pages of tabloids and gossip Web sites, but the new mother is hoping her baby will escape the spotlight.

“More than anything, I just want this baby to have a normal life,” she told OK! Magazine.

Jamie Lynn and Casey Aldridge’s newborn, Maddie Briann, has already been given a respite from the flashes of the paparazzi, when the new parents executed a wonderfully planned evasion of photographers while leaving the hospital. Using multiple cars, a police escort and decoys, Maddie Briann and mom reportedly left the hospital unnoticed and made their way safely to their new home in Liberty, Mississippi.

Possibly learning from her sister Britney’s parenting mishaps, Jamie Lynn is planning a life that sticks true to her Kentwood roots and not the bright lights of Hollywood, according to the mag.

“We want to give the baby the most normal life she could ever have,” she said.

A normal life means Jamie Lynn’s acting career will be put on hold, according to source close to the “Zoey 101” star.

“None of that matters to her right now,” the source said. “It’s all about what’s good for the baby.”
