LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Jane Lynch has some advice for Lindsay Lohan, who reportedly had her feelings hurt after she was referenced recently by Gwyneth Paltrow’s character Holly Holiday on the hit FOX TV show “Glee.”
“I just wish her the best at Betty Ford. I’ve been sober many, many, many, many years and it’s the way to go, so I wish her the best… Don’t take things so personally,” Jane said of the actress, when asked by Access Hollywood’s Maria Menounos for her thoughts on the latest LiLo drama.
Dina Lohan recently told Radar Online that her daughter was watching “Glee” in her court-mandated rehab and was “upset” because Holly tells McKinley High’s Spanish class, “Lindsay Lohan is totally crazy, right?” en espanol, among other Lindsay related comments.
Jane, who has been sober since the early ‘90s, from what she previously told More magazine was a mild drinking problem, said she knows from experience why Lindsay may have been sensitive.
“I sympathize with that because I know what it was like when I got sober — you’re just very, very raw and you’re very insecure and you know, I just wish the best for her in her recovery,” Jane, who plays cheerleading coach and all-around “Glee” bully Sue Sylvester, told Maria.
In related news, as first revealed by Access Hollywood, Gwyneth is returning to “Glee” for another episode, and Jane said she can’t wait.
“Well, I’m thrilled. I thought she did such a wonderful job. She proved that she has the goods, you know, she’s the real thing. She sings, she dances and obviously she had a good time and we worked her so hard that week she was here,” Jane laughed. “I hope I get to do more with her.”
