“Glee” star Jane Lynch is currently in Monaco, but she’s not celebrating her honeymoon – she’s working. Still, her recent marriage to Dr. Lara Embry was not far from her mind.
“It was amazing,” Jane told Access Hollywood on Tuesday at the Monte Carlo Television Festival. “It was the best day of my life to marry this woman I admire so much.”
As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Jane and Lara wed over Memorial Day weekend in Massachusetts.
“It was a great ceremony,” Jane — who plays the outspoken Sue Sylvester on the hit FOX series — continued. “It was really moving. It was just the best. I recommend it. I recommend marriage.”
Beyond talking about the ceremony, Jane also opened up about her love for Lara, who she said brings so much to her life.
“Calmness, stability, an unconditional love that I’ve never experienced and she inspires me to be the best person I can be,” a glowing Jane said.
In addition to finding her true love, Jane has also become a stepmother to Lara’s daughter.
“I have an 8-year-old daughter now,” Jane said. “I said in my vows to [Lara] — I offered Hayden some promises too. I said I’d get her ‘iCarly’ tickets.”
Jane revealed she might be able to do one better than some tickets – she’s recently been offered a role in the tween show.
“They’ve offered me a show and if FOX will let me, I’ll do it,” Jane said.
In related Jane news, although she is in Monaco for her job, Jane did reveal to Access that she and Lara stopped by London for some couples time before the festival.
