Jason Priestley On '90210' Hook-Ups
Jason Priestley talks with Billy Bush and Kit Hoover on Access Hollywood Live about his new tell-all, “Jason Priestley: A Memoir.” Back in his “90210” days, were there any cast hook-ups on set? Plus, Brad Pitt was a former roommate of Jason’s; does he keep in touch with Brad? “Jason Priestley: A Memoir” is available now.
Here's a big question for you. Let's just say hypothetically the peach pit is burning down. You can take one female cast member. You got to grab your sister, you know. Oh. I'll get the car and you grab whoever you need. Why did we do that to ourselves? Jason Priestley, 90210 alum, that was three years ago. What were you on together for. Well, I directed "Good night for justice" the first one of those "Good night for justice" movies Luke did for hallmark. He said you would grab your sister Shannon. You didn't jump on that. You gave it a peach pit is going down. I would grab Shannon. I love Shannon, nothing but love for Shannon. Did you ever hook up with Shannon? Um -- Everybody in the cast hooked up at one point? You did. There were multiple -- there were multiple engagements on the show with multiple people. Would people just -- it would be like an afterparty or rap thing, was it casual? People wouldn't get hurt and emotionally attached. Nobody ever got attached. Nobody ever got -- nobody ever let it get in the way of what we were doing. And, you know, nobody ever got -- Team M.O. Always -- Work always superseded everything. Did you make out -- you made out with Shannon. Made out with tori? Make out with tori? No. You never went near the boss's daughter. Are you crazy? After all, Aaron was a mythical figure who lived up on high and, you know, that was -- Although, definitely in the back of your mind at that time at that age especially. No. This is the -- Jenny? What? You know what, I made out with jenny so much on camera that it was, you know -- You were on guest star patrol I have to imagine. Yes. Number one on the call sheet wants to know who is number three, who's coming in this week? One girl that was a guest star and your girlfriend a couple years. Had the short spiky blonde hair. Christine. Or the curly brown. That's robin. She was my girlfriend before. You said in the book you -- robin lively, how is she related? Blake's big sister. Big sister. You said that you regretted how things ended with robin. Were you -- did you get caught in a precarious moment? Not at all. I just -- I just -- you know, I just ended things very abruptly with robin. And like for no good reason. Just because I didn't -- I just found myself in a situation with this, you know, where all of a sudden the show became successful and I didn't really know what to do or what was happening or how to make this all work or how to make sense of everything and I just felt like I needed to be as unincumbered as I could be. I just very suddenly ended it with her. I think god bless her, she understood it better than I did at the time. You know, it's -- being in the early 20s is a difficult time. It's difficult enough I think for people and then to have that sort of thing happen to you, is, you know, it just compounds all that. I think we all just -- you all try to get through as well as you can and some of us get through it better than others. But it's, you know, it's a difficult time. There's a lot of ladies but in it, in the book, you're a one woman guy. You like to be in a relationship. I do, yeah. Yeah. I do better when -- it is. Safer. It's much safer especially nowadays. His wife, let me tell you something, Naomi Priestley is one of the great stars of this world. She is -- Yeah, she is. Thanks. If you had -- maybe with robin at the time it was like, you know, where's it going from here, it's either marriage or engagement way too young, in a business, which would not have led you to Naomi. As a woman, we've been out with you, Naomi, she's a connecter. I fell in love with her. She's such a girl's girl. Knockout. You met your match with Naomi. I definitely did. I definitely did. She's super. Keeps reinventing herself along the way. Makeup artist, now teaching soul cycle, wonderful mother, sold art in New York. Wherever you went you don't have to worry about her. No. I never do. She's very adaptable and incredibly engaging as you said and very smart and yeah, she's -- Total complete knockout. Yeah. So fun. Back in the day, also a knockout, brad Pitt, right? Your buddy. You guys -- you come back from Vancouver and there on the couch is brad Pitt. Yeah. Like who is this dude hanging around for a while? Run around. Yeah. All of a sudden we're all living together, you know, crappy apartment in north Hollywood. And actually it turned out to be we were all friends for a very long time. Brad, oddly enough, brad became the most responsible of all of us. So much so I was in Phoenix shooting a movie and I had to come back to this studio, actually, to screen test for my first television series I got here in America, show called "Sister Kate" I did for NBC for a year the year before I got 90210 and there was -- of all my friends here in Los Angeles, there's only one that I knew would come and pick me up at the airport when I needed a ride from the Burbank airport to come back over here and it was brad. And I called him and is said, brad, I really need a ride from Burbank airport to the studio and NBC to test for this. Will you come and pick me up? He said, yeah, yeah. I'll be there. Came over, picked me up, and -- over to NBC and waited for me while I went upstairs and tested for the show. Drove me back to the airport and I flew back to Phoenix to go back to work on the movie. Do you see them, keep in touch with Angelina and the kids? I haven't seen brad in a couple years. The one Christmas he gave you a bible with your name on it. A bible from brad Pitt. All of us. You know, the whole group of us, we -- you know, it was the late '80s and everybody was obsessed with being a, you know, bad boy back then. We were all exchanging gifts after Christmas and brad went home to Missouri to see his family and he came back with a box of something and none of us knew what it was. We were all handing out bottles of jack Daniels and cartons of cigarettes and brad opens up this box and he says, I got something really special for all you guys. He opens it up and starts handing out bibles to all of us with our names embossed on them. And he was so proud to give us all bibles. We were all like, yeah, thanks. Brad. But now you have it on your book shelf. You're going to need to hang on to something. We're about to get fay muss, rich, already sexy. Jason, a reaction from one of your past loves. Steamy. More with the surprise. Brace yourself after these messages from your local station. .
