Javier Colon Crowned Winner Of ‘The Voice’

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- NBC has found its “Voice.”

The inaugural winner of the new singing reality competition is Team Adam Levine member Javier Colon, while Dia Frampton, of Team Blake Shelton, was the runner-up.

“Thank you,” a teary-eyed Javier said after learning the news from show host, Carson Daly on Wednesday evening. “I don’t even know where to begin other than to say the three women behind me are absolutely awesome and it was a pleasure to be here.

“I want to thank everybody at home who believed in me and voted for me,” he added as the show closed.

Before Carson revealed the news, he announced that the winner and the runner up were separated by less than two percent of the vote.

He also revealed that Dia topped the iTunes chart following her performance on the show last night, while Javier held the second spot on the same chart.

It was not made clear how Team Christina Aguilera member Beverly McClellan or Team Cee Lo Green member Vicci Martinez, ended up overall.
