Jay Mohr & Nikki Cox Welcome Son Meredith Daniel

According to People, the acting couple welcomed their first child together on Thursday.

The happy couple’s baby boy, Meredith Daniel Mohr, weighed in at 6 lbs. 7 oz, their rep told the mag.

“We are over the moon, filled with joy and every other cliche new parents use,” the couple said.

Adding, “He’s perfect.”

According to SheKnows.com, the name Meredith might sound like a name traditionally given to a girl, but is also a Welsh name for a boy meaning “guardian of the sea and great chief.”

Jay, 40, and Nikki, 32, wed in 2006 after meeting on the set of NBC’s “Las Vegas.”

Jay has a son, Jackson, 7, from his previous marriage to model Nicole Chamberlain.
