LOS ANGELES, Calif. --

Jay-Z is the ruler of the Kingdom this week as his new album dominates the Billboard 200 chart with a whopping 680,052 copies sold.

“Kingdom Come” is Jay-Z’s ninth #1 album on the chart, tying him with the Rolling Stones for the 3rd most #1’s ever. Elvis Presley and The Beatles are the only other artists to have more chart-toppers, according to Billboard.

Chris Daughtry proves that you don’t have to win “American Idol” to be a force on the album chart. Even though he didn’t make it to the final three last season on the show, the debut album from his band, Daughtry, sells an impressive 303,677 copies, putting him at #2. This marks the highest debut for an “Idol” contestant who was not a winner or runner-up, a distinction previously held by Kellie Pickler.

The NOW 23 compilation holds fast to the third position this week, selling 289,022 copies.

A re-working of classic Beatles songs is what “Love” is all about, as the soundtrack to the Cirque du Soleil Vegas show comes in at #4.

Snoop Dogg walks the “Blue Carpet” to the 5th position this week with his latest release, while Beyonce’s “B’Day” jumps up the chart once again to land at #6, due to the strength of her latest single, ?Irreplaceable.?

The “Hannah Montana” soundtrack and Keith Urban’s “Love, Pain, and The Whole Crazy Thing” drop positions this week, despite selling more copies than they each did last week. Akon’s album drops some spots as well, although his single “I Wanna Love You” (featuring Snoop Dogg) is still the #1 most downloaded single.

Tupac Shakur’s “Pac’s Life” debuts at #9 this week, and is his 14th entry on the Billboard 200 chart since his death in 1996.

Next week sees the release of the “Dreamgirls” soundtrack, as well new releases from Eminem, Brian McKnight and Gwen Stefani, whose chart-climbing single “Wind It Up” takes the #4 spot on the Billboard Hot Downloaded Singles Chart this week.
