Jennifer Garner Throws Star-Studded Kid-Friendly Birthday Bash

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Caption Jennifer Garner picks up Violet Affleck from school in Los Angeles, December 15, 2009Jennifer Garner celebrated her 38th birthday on Saturday and the actress opted for a daytime kid-friendly party that included a slew of her celebrity friends and their children.

Jen and husband Ben Affleck’s driveway in Brentwood, Calif., was turned into a casual red carpet with some of Hollywood’s biggest stars showing up to help the actress celebrate her big day

Reese Witherspoon showed up looking comfortable in sneakers, shorts, T-shirt and a straw hat.

Tobey Maguire, wife Jennifer Meyer and 3-year-old daughter Ruby were also photographed heading into the party. Tobey sported jeans, sneakers and some major bed-head.

Jen’s “Juno” co-star Jason Bateman, wife Amanda Anka and 3-year-old daughter, Francesca also showed up to celebrate.

“Jen wanted everyone to feel like they could bring their kids, so she didn’t want to have it at night,” a partygoer told Radar Online.

Molly Sims – who was spotted carrying a large bag from Barney’s – Jimmy Kimmel, Jon Favreau and Laurence Fishburne were also in attendance at Jen’s birthday bash.
