NEW YORK, N.Y. --

Despite previous reports to the contrary, a reality show featuring Jennifer Lopez and her family will not be happening, at least according to the new mom.

Although J.Lo appeared at last month’s TLC upfront presentation in New York to announce her new show with the cable network, the singer told Access Hollywood she does not have a reality show in the works that involves her family.

“You heard it here first. There is no reality show at all. We would not have camera’s in our house,” J.Lo told Access at the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute Gala Monday night. “It’s just not our thing. That might be fine for other people, but not for us.”

As previously reported on Access Hollywood.com, according to a press release from TLC, the J.Lo reality show would “deliver a slice of [Jennifer’s] life that audiences have never seen before, as she takes on her career and launches a new fragrance while trying to juggle her new responsibilities as a first time mom.”

However, fans hoping to catch a glimpse of the private life of J.Lo’s journey as a new mom should not hold their breath.

“I wanted to die,” Jennifer told Access upon hearing rumors her newborn twins would be featured in the TLC show.

Though J.Lo professed there will be no reality show for her and her family, she softened her reality stance, revealing there could be a new series involving her perfume.

“I was talking about doing a show with TLC about the making of a fragrance,” J.Lo told Access.

Will J.Lo’s perfume reality show be the next project for the superstar?

“Well, we’ll see, we’ll see,” she said.

When reached by Access, TLC had no comment at this time.
