LOS ANGELES, Calif. --
What would Jennifer Lopez be without her famous J.Lo Glow? Her signature look ignited a craze with everyone wanting that healthy, radiant look. Jennifer’s longtime makeup artist, Scott Barnes is the one who created her bronzed look and now he’s sharing his beauty secrets in a new book called ‘About Face’. Scott, who has also worked Kate Hudson, Beyonce and Gwyneth Paltrow, gives us the step-by-step process to get The J.Lo Glow:
HOW TO:
Rub a bronze/tinted moisturizer all over exposed skin. Gives skin a dewy, sun-kissed glow and helps even out skin tone and hide flaws.
SCOTT’S SUGGESTION: Scott Barnes’ Body Bling
Apply medium-beige cream foundation. Use a foundation brush to apply - it helps even out coverage. Cream foundation leaves a dewier finish than a liquid foundation, which can cake and look too heavy.
SCOTT’S SUGGESTION: La Mer Creme Foundation
Take a fluffy powder brush and apply a powder bronzer underneath jawbone, along the hairline, and underneath the cheekbone. This slenderizes the face.
SCOTT’S SUGGESTION: Lancome Star Bronzer
Apply a golden-toned powder highlighter to the apples of the cheeks and along the cheekbone. Avoid too pink tones, you want to keep the look natural and bronzed.
SCOTT’S SUGGESTION: NARS Orgasm Blush
Keep eyes and lips neutral. You want the look to be clean and pretty. Use smokey grey along the upper lash line (black is too harsh) and a shimmery neutral-toned shadow on lid. Finish off with a coat of mascara. For added drama: Scott adds a few extra lashes to the lash line for a lusher look.
SCOTT’S SUGGESTION: Maybelline Eye Studio in Neutral
Finish off with a butterscotch-toned gloss.
SCOTT’S SUGGESTION: Pixi Lip Booster in Faerie
