LOS ANGELES, Calif. --

Ojani Noa claims his upcoming movie, “How I Married Jennifer Lopez: The J.Lo and and Ojani Noa Story,” is a parody about his short-lived marriage to the Jennifer Lopez – but the singer is not laughing.

According to TheWrap.com, lawyers for Lopez have sent a cease and desist letter to the pop star’s first husband ordering production on the movie shut down. The film is still in the pre-production stage.

The movie is said to be a mockumentary, in the style of Sacha Baron Cohen’s “Borat,” which will chronicle Noa’s pursuit of Lopez, according to Noa and producer Ed Meyer.

After Noa attempted to write a tell-all book about his marriage to Lopez in 2006, he was slapped with a 2007 injunction which reportedly bars him from “licensing, disseminating, distribution… any book manuscript or other written materials which contain private or intimate details about Lopez or Noa’s relationship with Lopez.”

The movie’s director countered saying that “How I Married Jennifer Lopez” is “100% parody” and does not fall under the restrictions of the 2007 injunction.

Noa claims his career has suffered since divorcing Lopez, but that he still cares about his ex-wife

“The whole movie is about me coming to this country and getting my dream shut down by somebody who I thought was a good person,” Noa told TheWrap.com.

The aspiring model goes to allege infidelity during their marriage.

“I was in totally in love with her. I gave my soul to her. It wasn’t my fault she shared it with 3 people. I was angry,” he claimed.

Lopez was married to Noa from 1997 to 1998. The pop star wed singer Marc Anthony in 2004.

“How I Married Jennifer Lopez: The J.Lo and and Ojani Noa Story” is reportedly in the midst of casting and is hoping to start shooting in February.
