LOS ANGELES, Calif. --
Jennifer Love Hewitt has a few qualms about recently saying she wished she spent more of her youth naked.
“I’m a little regretful about it,” Jennifer told Access Hollywood’s Nancy O’Dell on the 2008 Emmy red carpet.
Jennifer made the statement in an interview, which appeared in Health magazine last month, and she explained to Nancy on Sunday her reasons for making the statement.
“Well, I was explaining how a woman’s body changes as you get older and so I was saying that my mom and my grandma were like, ‘You’re gonna one day be really happy about what you looked like when you were 15, 16, and 17 instead of worrying about it.’ So I was like, ‘I should have just walked around naked.’ Anyway…”
“I agree,” Jennifer’s fiance, Ross McCall chimed in supportively. “Why not?”
“That would be great for you,” Nancy said.
“That would be great for me,” he said to his future wife, Jennifer. “I think we should definitely talk about this.”
Jennifer, who inadvertently became an advocate for real women’s bodies after she was photographed in her bikini in Hawaii last year — and later criticized on blogs for her physique — also told Nancy she thinks there is too much pressure put on women in Hollywood to look a certain way.
“There’s an abnormal amount of pressure,” the star, who recently shaped up and trained for a triathlon said. “I just think people, as long as you’re healthy, I don’t think it matters what you look like, but just be healthy.”
