Has the “Jersey Shore” gang caught the acting bug after filming cameos for the upcoming “The Three Stooges”?

“What an amazing experience!” Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola told Access Hollywood on Thursday at the junket for Season 4 of their hit MTV series.

“I took away so much… I actually enjoyed acting and I enjoy being part of [a film], so I would love to see what the future holds – whether it’s acting or something else,” Jenni “JWoww” Farley said. “We got out of our comfort zone and we really impressed each other, like to see Sam, she was phenomenal, Ronnie, everyone!”

Sammi’s on-again, off-again boyfriend, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, also told Access he wants more time in front of the camera.

“We both want to get into acting now,” he said of himself and Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, who thinks her and her co-star’s natural state plays well on the big screen.

“We’re not scared to be stupid or make fun of ourselves,” Snooki explained. “I think we could be good in acting. I would love to do comedy.”

“The Three Stooges” with Sean Hayes as Larry, Will Sasso as Curly and Chris Diamantopoulos as Moe – along with Jane Lynch, Sofia Vergara and Jennifer Hudson – is slated to hit theaters in 2012.
