Jessica Simpson Honors Late Dog On Twitter

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Caption Jessica Simpson signs autographs with her dog Daisy at Dillard’s Stonebriar Centre on March 8, 2008 in Frisco, TexasJessica Simpson was busy this weekend on Twitter posting pictures of herself and ex-NFL-star beau Eric Johnson – but the star also took a moment to remember someone she had lost.

“This day last year my life changed because I lost my baby Daisy Mae- the best pup of all time…give your dog some extra love today!!” Jessica Tweeted on Monday about her late Maltipoo.

Jess also re-Tweeted a friend’s post that stated, “Today, pay tribute to sweet Daisy Mae by chasing a squirrel & eating some chicken! I miss her & love her so very much!”

A year ago, the star first announced her dog was missing on Twitter, writing, “My heart is broken because a coyote took my precious Daisy right in front of our eyes…HORROR! We are searching. Hoping. Please help!”

Five days later, Jessica called off the search for Daisy Mae.
