Jessica Simpson Tells ‘Fashion Star’ Contestant: ‘I Really Kind Of Want To Hit You Across The Face’

Aspiring designers were given a glimpse of Jessica Simpson’s harder side when menswear designer Nicholas Bowes dismissed Jessica and fellow mentor Nicole Richie’s critique of his collection, which included leather jackets, denim shorts and cowboy boots.
“It’s very hard to understand the girls giving advice about men’s fashion,” Nicholas snapped.
The style mogul pushed back, “I’m a little bit offended – not a little bit, a lot a bit.
“To talk down to a woman in this business? We’re running the world right now,” Jessica continued. “I really kind of want to hit you across the face right now.”
During Tuesday’s show, Jessica Tweeted, ““I know what a buyer wants @nicholasbowes and I really hope you take everyone’s advice to heart.”
Nicholas ended up in the bottom two and was then sent home.
”‘I wish it was just confidence and not arrogance,” Jessica said of sending Nicholas home.
