‘Outlaw’ Headed For Saturday, Then Cancellation

NBC said Monday that the series will air at 8 PM EDT Saturday through Nov. 15, with a pre-emption on Oct. 30. Then the show will be off the network’s schedule.

Ratings for “Outlaw” dwindled on Friday nights after a respectable showing last month for the first episode. It debuted on a Wednesday night after the finale of summertime hit “America’s Got Talent” but couldn’t convert the coattails introduction into success.

Production on “Outlaw” has been suspended. The legal drama had an unlikely premise, with Smits as a U.S. Supreme Court justice who quits the high court to return to private practice.
