Joan Rivers brought her signature laughs to the vows between Joseph Aiello and Jed Ryan. Why wasn’t this the first time she officiated for the couple?

She was ordained online last year so she could marry two friends. When you knock the socks off of me, I just love them. I want to say I'm so happy to be here. Certainly not your ordinary officiant. Joan was a little bit late. She was supposed to be there at 7:00. Joan says, look at this honey. Apparently she's an ordained mibser and she can marry people. She should marry us. I said she's not going to marry us here at a bookstore. Then it was time for the Q & a and he said, Joan, you're on ordained minister can you marry my boyfriend and I. I said go get a bible and I will marry you. And we married them right there at the book signing. Since the wedding was unexpected, the grooms did not have a marriage license so it wasn't legal. If you are consented to be united in the bonds of matrimony you exchange your wedding vows for all those that are present here today. By the state of New York I pronounce you for the very first time. Kiss each other. Oh, yeah. I just love to see two people -- here I go -- that really want to be together and make a vow and good times, bad times. It's a very emotional day.
