LOS ANGELES, Calif. --

The 2008 American Music Awards were full of music showdowns – and it wasn’t just Chris Brown taking on Coldplay or Rihanna vs. Alicia Keys. Former couple Joe Jonas and Taylor Swift were both in attendance; host Jimmy Kimmel even made reference to their recent break-up in his opening monologue – but, according to the young stars, they are on good terms with each other now.

Access Hollywood’s 2008 American Music Awards guest correspondent Quddus asked Joe about the possible award show tension Sunday night.

“Is it at all weird that Taylor’s going to be here tonight?” Quddus asked the middle Jonas brother.

“No, no, no. It’s all good,” Joe said.

“Beef squashed. There was really no beef, huh?” Quddus continued.

“All good,” Joe added.

As for Taylor, the AMA-winning country star was focused on having a positive night at the ceremony.

“Is it at all weird like with all these people, especially with Joe being here?” Quddus inquired. “Is it at all awkward? Is it cool?”

“I’m going to have a wonderful night,” Taylor said. “I’m so excited to be here, I’m so excited the album went number one… to be here and to be nominated and performing. This is going to be a fun night.”
