LOS ANGELES, Calif. --
Rocker John Mayer is getting into the holiday spirit – in a baking way.
The singer spent Wednesday baking a vanilla bundt cake, for which he revealed his method step-by-step in a six-part series of “livebaking” blog posts.

“What is the holiday spirit about? It’s about joy,” he wrote in the final post. “And I know it’s going to be insanely delicious. I just wish I were hungry for it and not tanked to the gills on frosting and peanut butter M&Ms.”
And John’s not ashamed to discuss his love of pastries, even on the red carpet.
“I love cakes,” he told Access Hollywood’s Nancy O’Dell at the premiere of girlfriend Jennifer Aniston’s “Marley & Me” on Thursday night.
But when Nancy asked if he’d baked one for Jen after her sexy GQ cover, he said he’s “never done a solo cake.”
“I don’t have my ‘How Dare You’ cake yet,” he said. “No, I’m kidding. I’m happy.”
