Travoltas Welcome Baby Boy

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- John Travolta and wife Kelly Preston welcomed a son on Tuesday, a rep for the couple confirmed to Access Hollywood.

The baby boy, Benjamin, weighed 8 lbs., 3 oz. and was born at a hospital in Florida.

“John, Kelly and their daughter Ella Bleu are ecstatic and very happy about the newest member of the family,” the couple’s rep said in a statement. “Both mother and baby are healthy and doing beautifully.”

Earlier this month, rumors swirled that Kelly had gone into labor while John was in Australia – rumors which turned out to be false.

The couple’s joyful news marks continued recovery for John and Kelly, who tragically lost their 16-year-old son Jett to a seizure in January 2009.
