Johnny Weir and Victor Voronov aren’t ready to get back together – at least, not yet. Contrary to reports, the embattled exes have not put divorce behind them.
In a statement to Access Hollywood, when asked if Johnny and Victor were attempting reconciliation, Johnny explained that was not the case.
“Nope,” Johnny told Access. “I had hope and Victor and I were talking about reconciliation, but it was for not.”
The former pro figure skater did not elaborate on the steps taken towards getting back together or the reasons for again calling it off.
The couple made headlines in March, when Johnny broke the news to Access Hollywood he had filed for divorce from his husband after two years of marriage — Johnny filed for divorce on February 12 and signed a complaint for divorce citing “irreconcilable differences” on January 28.
“I have been sad for a long time,” Johnny told Access at the time. “And unfortunately don’t foresee a way to resolve our current marital issues.”
On Monday, Victor took to Twitter, asking for privacy as he and his ex address their relationship issues.
“I’m hoping for privacy right now as I prepare to observe a holiday and spend time w my family,” Victor Tweeted on Monday.
