Johnny Weir , Tara Lipinski Join Access Hollywood For Oscar Fashion Coverage
Johnny Weir and Tara Lipinski may have been the breakout stars of the Sochi Winter Games, not only for their colorful fashions – but their equally colorful commentary for NBC during the figure skating competitions.
And now, Johnny and Tara are bringing their act to the red carpet for Access Hollywood!
The pro figure skating icons will join Access’ Billy Bush, Shaun Robinson and Liz Hernandez on Oscar Sunday to report on one of the most-talked about topics of the night – the fashion!
“I am honored and so excited to be a part of the team for Access Hollywood’s Oscar coverage. There is no time that LA shines brighter than during the Oscar’s and I hope to bring my own special brand of sparkle to the broadcast. I am so privileged to work with my great friend, Tara Lipinski, and together we hope to entertain America’s pants off,” Johnny said.
“I am so excited to be a part of the biggest night in Hollywood. Johnny and I had such an incredible time working with Access Hollywood in Sochi and we are excited to keep the fun rolling,” Tara added.
Both figure skaters teamed up with Access in Sochi for some memorable off-the-ice segments, including a peek inside their Olympic closets, as well as an unforgettable fishing expedition on the Black Sea between Billy Bush and Johnny — – and now, that relationship continues, as the duo will also be joined by Access’ red carpet fashion correspondent Louise Roe to break down the biggest style hits and misses at the Oscars.
“We are so pleased to be able to give our viewers more of must-see TV with Johnny and Tara. The duo lit up the Olympic Games and will light up the red carpet at the Oscars. I am very certain no show will have more fun with Oscar Style than Access Hollywood,” said Access Hollywood Executive Producer Rob Silverstein.
Be sure to tune in to Access Hollywood’s coverage of the 86th annual Oscar Awards, featuring all the excitement, fashion hits, misses and more!
