Jon Cryer Responds To Charlie Sheen's 'Troll' Comment
Jon Cryer has responded to being labeled a “troll” by his former “Two and a Half Men” co-star Charlie Sheen – and he hasn’t lost his sense of humor about the situation.
“Those words are very painful to me for many reasons, not the least of which is … I’m sorry, I can’t even believe I’m saying this … the fact is, I am a troll,” Jon said on TBS’s “Conan” on Thursday night.
“It’s not something I like to talk about. My parents don’t even know that I’m a troll. Of course, I guess they do now,” he continued as light piano music played in the background. “The truth is, there’s not a lot of tolerance for people like me, especially in Hollywood. To avoid ignorance and bullying, I’ve had to hide the fact that I’m a troll. … You have no idea how much time and money I’ve spent on electrolysis and hair dye and reconstructive surgery.”
The actor went on to out other trolls in Hollywood, including Paul Giamatti, Helen Mirren and Conan’s sidekick Andy Richter (who were shown Photoshopped as troll dolls)
Jon ended the his appearance saying, “It gets better. Not gay better, but sorta better.”
On Wednesday, Sheen issued a partial apology for his comments about his co-star during an interview on Los Angele’s K-EARTH 101 radio station.
“I’ll apologize to Jon right now,” Charlie said. “I was in a mood and I threw that out to somebody. I didn’t know they – well I kinda knew they were gonna print it. Yeah, I knew they were gonna print it. I confuse myself… It’s a little bit of a half-apology. An apol.”
