In a preview of his first televised interview since filing for divorce, Jon says he’s done taking “abuse” from Kate.
“She’ll call me like, almost like a lame fish. Like I wasn’t going anywhere,” Jon told “Good Morning America’s” Chris Cuomo. “Well, excuse me, I’m taking care of the kids. She’s on book tours, she’s doing all these things. You know, she’s gone a week. You know, comes back. Packs up and leaves again. I’m standing there like, ‘Oh, OK. Your mom’s gone again.’”
In the interview, Jon addresses an incident last month when police were called to the Gosselin family home after Jon refused to allow her to enter the home.
“I wouldn’t let her in the gate,” he said. “I said, ‘I’m spending time with my kids…’ and she’s going to have to leave and she tried to cry it up with the cops and it didn’t work and they told her she had to leave.”
Following their split, Jon has transformed into quite a playboy, traveling the world with 22-year-old Hailey Glassman, hosting pool parties in Las Vegas and paling around with Michael Lohan and Ed Hardy creator, Christian Audigier – all of which Kate has been very vocal about – even suggesting alien abduction is to blame.
“I took a lot of abuse from her. I was put down,” Jon said.
Jon Gosselin’s full interview airs on “Good Morning America” and “Primetime: Family Secrets,” on September 8.
