Jordin Sparks Celebrates Chart Victory From Her Sick Bed

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Caption Jordin Sparks attends 2009 ‘VH1 Divas’ at Brooklyn Academy of Music on September 17, 2009Jordin Sparks is in great spirits after hitting the top of Billboard Dance Chart with her new single, “S.O.S. (Let The Music Play),” she just can’t “laugh” about it.

“I’m in a great mood except I can’t laugh or cough! Ergh. Rest & movie time,” she wrote on her Twitter account on Friday.

The reason behind the former “American Idol” winner’s inability to do such normal functions is because she had surgery.

“For those who missed my tweets earlier…I got appendicitis on tues & took the appendix out last night. So I’m recovering! :)” she Tweeted.

But while she is feeling great over her chart success, Twi-hard Jordin is disappointed she can’t go to the movies.

“I think Im the only one not seeing ‘New Moon’ right now. Im watching Bulls/Lakers game whilst in le hospital bed. Tell me how the movie is!” she wrote.
