LOS ANGELES, Calif. --

Kathy Griffin may have garnered some laughs playing Kate Gosselin on “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” but now the mother of eight is getting in on the funny action – in primetime.

Access Hollywood has learned that Kate will make a guest appearance on Wednesday’s “Jay Leno Show.”

Kate appears in a guest correspondent Mikey Day’s latest “JMZ” report, a sketch where “The Jay Leno Show” mocks paparazzi-inspired television.

In the clip, Mike’s paparazzi team confronts the mom in a grocery store parking lot and she mothers them into leaving her alone.

Previous “JMZ” stars have included “90210’s” Jessica Stroup and Shenae Grimes. In the skit that included the actresses, the paparazzi were forced to leave the girls alone after they revealed their special skills including quick puzzle making.
