Katherine Heigl almost showed off way too much at the ShoWest awards ceremony in Las Vegas on Thursday night.

The actress took the stage to accept the award for Female Star of the Year at the ShoWest awards ceremony in Las Vegas when a strap on her dress broke – but luckily Access’ own Billy Bush, the host for the evening, was there to help Katherine keep everything in place.

Billy stood by Katherine’s side during her entire speech holding the strap as the actress accepted her award.

“Oh my. Hosting showest awards in LV. Heigl comes up to get award, dress strap breaks…I hold her top on while she accepts!” Billy Tweeted following the narrowly adverted wardrobe malfunction.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Katherine is reportedly departing “Grey’s Anatomy” and she will not be returning to film any new episodes of the hit series. She had been off the series in recent months — despite a couple of small appearances in scenes with Karev (Justin Chambers) and Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) – first, on maternity leave and later shooting “Life As We Know It” in Atlanta with Josh Duhamel.

Katherine — whose recent film credits include the romantic comedies “The Ugly Truth,” “27 Dresses” and “Knocked Up” — will be back on the big screen in the comedy “Killers” with Ashton Kutcher on June 4.
