Current TV offered its rebuttal to a scathing lawsuit filed by Keith Olbermann by filing a countersuit Friday detailing alleged bad behavior by its former talk show host and seeking a judge’s ruling that he is not entitled to any more money from the network.
The network’s filing accuses Olbermann of breaching his contract by disclosing terms of the lucrative deal, refusing to cooperate in promoting the show and taking days off without permission.

Keith Olbermann is moving his grievances with his former employer Current TV from the airwaves to the courtroom, suing the network for more than $50 million and blasting it for what he claims were shoddy production values.
Olbermann’s breach-of-contract lawsuit filed in Los Angeles on Thursday also seeks a judge’s ruling that he didn’t disparage the network before his firing, and that his former bosses violated his agreement by disclosing how much he was being paid.

Keith Olbermann said he “screwed up” by taking a job with Current TV, but he plans to make the channel pay for firing him.
In Olbermann’s first TV interview since he was dismissed last week by Current, he was asked by David Letterman to assess his chances of getting any money due him. After reportedly signing a five-year, $50 million contract with Current, he was there less than a year.

Current TV has dismissed Keith Olbermann from its talk-show lineup after less than a year.
The network announced late Friday afternoon that “Countdown,” the show Olbermann has hosted on Current since last June, would be replaced with a show hosted by former New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer, beginning Friday night.
