LOS ANGELES, Calif. --
Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner aren’t the only “Twilight Saga” cast members who’ve had scary run-ins with their devoted fans. Kellan Lutz, who plays Emmett Cullen, told Access Hollywood’s Shaun Robinson at the “New Moon” junket in Los Angeles on Friday that he’s had a run in with a fan that ended with him in handcuffs.
“The craziest thing is one [fan] asked if she could handcuff herself to me, and I was like, ‘Yeah, of course!’” He told Access. “I’m so quick to answer and she is like, ‘Cha ching!’ as the clunking [of the handcuffs.] I was like, ‘Hey, could I have the key?’”
Kellan also revealed that precautions they’ve taken on the set of the movie usually don’t help when it comes to obsessed fans.
“It’s really kind of funny because we have security guards on set, and I’m usually bigger than them,” the buff actor joked.
Kellan’s co-star, Nikki Reed, who plays Rosalie Hale (Emmett Cullen’s wife), revealed that her creepiest encounter involved some excessive hugging from a few Twi-Boys.
“There were two boys that sat outside our apartment complex, and they asked us for hugs on a daily basis,” Nikki told Access. “It was very strange… the first time it was sweet…there’s Twi-Boys, that’s awesome! And then like 15 minute later I am coming back [from] the market and it’s like, it’s Dora, [from] ‘Finding Nemo.’ It was like, ‘Hi, can I have a hug again?’ It’s like I hadn’t just seen [them.]”
