LOS ANGELES, Calif. --

America’s original “Idol,” Kelly Clarkson, is readying her return.

The winner of “American Idol’s” first season will release her fourth artist album, “All I Ever Wanted,” on record label RCA, March 17, Access Hollywood has confirmed.

The release will be preceded by a new single from the Texas-bred singer, “My Life Would Suck Without You,” which hits radio January 19, and Amazon.com on January 16, according to Billboard.

Though only snippets of the song, produced by Max Martin and Dr. Luke, have surfaced thus far, it is already being hailed as a return to form for the pop-powerhouse.
