“She’s been amazing,” Grammer said of his wife of over a decade. “She was the rock, she really was the rock.”
Grammer suffered a mild heart attack while in Hawaii in late May 2008. He had been paddle boarding with Camille prior to the incident.
He was taken to a hospital in Hawaii following the heart attack and treated.
“The people that took care of me did a great job and got me back on track and I have great follow up care right now,” Kelsey said. “I’m feeling pretty good.”
Grammer said the health scare made him continue his appreciation of the good times.
“Life has been tough enough that honestly, throughout my life I’ve always really valued the good days. I had a nice reminder of it by virtue of having a heart attack,” he said. “I certainly didn’t want to be a statistic who died at 53. I wanted to be the guy who lived to be a 140. If I can have several years ahead of me that I hope are full of life and love and some artistic reward, that’s what I value.”
