The NFL’s Philadelphia Eagles released Baskett on Tuesday, as the team cut the wide receiver to make room for embattled quarterback Michael Vick on their roster.
In the team’s opening week victory over the Carolina Panthers, Baskett caught one ball for six yards – just two days prior to his release.
In 2008, Baskett recorded his best season as a pro, hauling in 33 catches for 440 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Wilkinson, 24, and Baskett, 27, tied the knot in June in a lavish ceremony at the Playboy Mansion.
Earlier in the summer, the former “Girl Next Door” announced she and Baskett were expecting their first child together.
Wilkinson previously told E! Online’s Marc Malkin she is due on Christmas Day.
