Kim Cattrall Reveals How She Lost The (Movie) Stripper Weight
Kim Cattrall may have spent much of the last two years across the pond on the British stage, but she’s back on American television in a role reminiscent of her HBO days.
The “Sex and The City” star recently filmed spots in Argentina for I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter, which sees the actress paying homage to her beloved straight-talking, independent woman and sex pot – public relations maven, Samantha Jones.
“It was nice to sort of embody somewhat of what of what Samantha’s about,” Kim recently told AccessHollywood.com of the commercials for the spread. “There’s a wink and a nod there.”
The campaign also reunited Kim with one of her former “SATC” directors – Pam Thomas.
“The way she would just set up the camera… We had the dialogue, we would just have fun and I think that comes across in the freshness of the commercial,” Kim explained. “I think it’s well designed and style…and funny.”
Slim and gorgeous in the spots, Kim told Access she recently dropped the 20 pounds she put on for her recent big screen turn as an older porn star-turned-stripper in “Meet Monica Velour,” but it certainly wasn’t simple.
“I found it so easy to put it on and so terribly hard to take it off and that’s why this product was really useful because I didn’t have to sacrifice very much. But it was — Eat Right For Your Blood type is a great diet and I’ve used that before,” Kim said of how she shifted the work weight. “I’m the kind of dieter, I can’t have a little tiny bit of it because I want it all, so it’s all or nothing… So that diet was great.
“It was painstaking – exercising a lot and being on the diet and not snacking,” Kim added of getting back into the clothes in her closet. “My appetite did shrink and I did lose the weight.”
