Kim Kardashian was overjoyed for her boyfriend, Reggie Bush, and the rest of his New Orleans Saints teammates following their Super Bowl victory on Sunday.
On Monday, Kim talked to Ryan Seacrest on KIIS-FM’s “On Air With Ryan Seacrest” about Reggie’s big win.
“It was pretty insane! It was such a surreal feeling,” she said of the Saints 31-17 win over the Indianapolis Colts in Miami. “This is the moment that Reggie has been waiting for his entire life and it was just so cool to be there and be in the middle of it. It was kisses and congratulations and, ‘I love you’… it was such a whirlwind.”
Kim says that following the shaky first quarter of the game she was finally able to relax.
“I wasn’t even nervous,” she explained. “It was just this calmness like it felt like we were gonna do it.”
The reality starlet was headed back to New Orleans with Reggie and the team on Monday morning, where the celebration was planned to continue.
“The guys are going to be on a float on Mardi Gras on Tuesday [March, 16],” she told Ryan.
But before they shower their adoring fans with Mardi Gras beads, Kim said they were planning to get some much-needed rest.
“We just want to go back to New Orleans and take a nap,” she said.
As for the jersey that Reggie wore during the game, Kim said her mom, Kris Jenner – who has helped preserve some of husband’s Bruce Jenner and son-in-law’s Lamar Odom’s sports gear – is helping to frame it.
“He would probably lose [the jersey], [so] my mom knows the perfect framer,” Kim said, explaining that Reggie was afraid to have Kris transport the sweaty jersey. “My mom wrapped it a towel from the hotel room. I’m sure you could smell [it] from a mile away!”
