LOS ANGELES, Calif. --

Kim Raver will join the cast of “Grey’s Anatomy” in a recurring role, an ABC rep confirmed to Access Hollywood.

The former “Lipstick Jungle” star will play a new surgeon at Seattle Grace.

Kim will scrub in on November 12, the season’s ninth episode, the rep confirmed.

According to Entertainment Weekly’s Michael Ausiello, the actress may make trouble for new lovebirds Owen (Kevin McKidd) and Cristina (Sandra Oh), turning their romance into a possible love triangle.

Seattle Grace has been a few doctors short this season, with new moms Ellen Pompeo and Katherine Heigl taking time off for maternity leave and to film a new movie (“Life As We Know It”), respectively.

Kim has starred in several other major network shows besides “Jungle,” including FOX’s “24” and NBC’s “Third Watch.”
