Kit Harington has high praise for “Game of Thrones” Season 3, which premieres March 31 on HBO.

“I’m incredibly proud of this one. I’m not ashamed to say it. I don’t think I’m going too far in saying I think it’s my favorite season,” Kit told AccessHollywood.com on Tuesday night at the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences “An Evening with Game of Thrones” event, held at the TCL Chinese Theatre, in Hollywood.

The actor, who plays the much-beloved Jon Snow in the series, told Access he had a big reaction when he screened Episode 301 on Monday night, when HBO hosted the show’s Season 3 premiere (also) at the TCL Chinese Theatre.

“I saw the first episode last night and I was pretty much blown away, actually,” Kit said. “I thought it was incredible and you know, [I] have to see what the public think of it. I hope they like it, but for me, it’s been amazing.”

Much has been made about the Season 3 debut of Mance Rayder, the King Beyond the Wall, played by “Rome” actor Ciaran Hinds. But, Jon Snow will also meet Orell this season, played by original “The Office” (the British version) alum Mackenzie Crook.

And, according to Kit, Jon and Orell, who is a wildling, will not grow close.

“Yeah, we hate each other pretty much,” Kit laughed. “I don’t think you’ve come across anyone — apart from maybe Alliser Thorn, in the first season — that Jon hates quite as much as Mackenzie’s character.

“And they hate each other from the get go ‘cause Mackenzie’s [character, Orell, is] suspicious of Jon and Jon just doesn’t like him,” Kit continued. “He just rubs him the wrong way.”

“Game of Thrones” Season 3 premieres March 31 at 9 PM on HBO.
