Kristen Stewart: ‘It Was Cool’ Kissing Dakota Fanning

When asked about the already-infamous smooch with Dakota by Access Hollywood‘s Tony Potts at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival on Saturday, Kristen had a little fun.
“I just hated doing it!” Kristen – who plays rocker Joan Jett in the movie – joked about her kiss with Dakota, who plays fellow Runaways rock girl Cherie Currie, adding, “Cuz, yeah, ugh!”
“She’s kidding everyone!” Dakota said to a momentarily stunned Tony.
All jokes aside, Kristen said she didn’t mind the intimate moment with her co-star.
“It was cool,” she said.
Also cool was having Joan Jett on set to help Kristen nail the role of the legendary rock star.
“I wouldn’t have known what I was doing,” Kristen said. “Just because you read a book and look at pictures…you can’t capture their essence.”
