Life is good for “Saturday Night Live” star Kristen Wiig — she’s hilarious, talented, and she got to spend half a day filming a wild sex scene with “Mad Men” hunk Jon Hamm for their upcoming comedy, “Bridesmaids.”
“I remember, it was our last day of shooting and I mean, it’s so silly. It was more funny than anything,” Kristen told Access Hollywood of filming her romp with Jon at the “Bridesmaids” premiere in Los Angeles on Thursday. “We’re like, ‘How else can he throw me around?’
“It was like, ‘This is my job! What’s happening?!” she added with a laugh.
And, in news that will make Don Draper admirers green with envy, shooting the sexy rendezvous required 12 hours of filming and “lots of different positions.”
However, Kristen said hooking up “Mad Men’s” favorite playboy wasn’t as exciting as fans of the AMC series may imagine.
“[Jon] is like my brother,” Kristen told Access. “He really is!”
Jon also admitted that filming the scene was a tad bit embarrassing, as he was practically naked for hours in front the film’s crew.
“It’s not a lot of fun rolling around in front of 30 or 40 crew members in a flesh-colored thong,” the handsome actor told Access. “But we did have a lot of fun. We had a lot of jokes and a lot of laughs, and I’m sure a lot of that will end up on the DVD somewhere.”
While rockin’ a tiny, butt-baring piece of fabric for 12 hours in front of a crowd was not necessarily Jon’s favorite day of filming, the 40-year-old blue-eyed star said the privilege of working with Kristen was worth every minute of derriere discomfort.
“I’m such a big fan of Kristen and she’s so wonderful to film,” Jon raved of his hilarious co-star. “From hosting [‘Saturday Night Live’] and from being around her and the ‘SNL’ crowd — it was so much fun.
“She’s just a great person, so it was really nice to do that kind of thing with [her],” he added.
Catch Kristen and Jon, along with “SNL” alum Maya Rudolph, Rose Bryne and Ellie Kemper of “The Office” fame, in “Bridesmaids,” when the film hits theaters on May 13.
