SYDNEY, Australia (November 6, 2006) — An exuberant Kylie Minogue arrived home to complete a world tour she called off last year when she was diagnosed with breast cancer.
“We’re on tour again, woo-hoo!” the 38-year-old pop star told reporters and photographers who greeted her Sunday at the airport.
Minogue, a 2004 Grammy award winner, had completed dates on her “The Showgirl Tour” in Europe and was heading to Australia for homecoming concerts when she was diagnosed with cancer in May last year.
She underwent surgery to remove a lump from her breast and had chemotherapy, and has since become a vocal advocate for cancer screening and support groups.
Her comeback concert will be in Sydney on Nov. 11.
