Australian cutie Kym Johnson has returned to “Dancing with the Stars” for the show’s eleventh season and she is thrilled to be partnered up with David Hasselhoff.
“The Hoff has got a great attitude about this competition,” Kym told Access Hollywood on Wednesday afternoon after the pairings were revealed. “He just wants to have fun… He wants to really enjoy the process.”
Enjoying the process will include – according to Kym – some sparkling ballroom fashions.
“David will not be shying away from rhinestones and sequins,” Kym laughed. “I think we’re going to have a really good time with costumes and each performance is gonna be a little story line and he’ll really ham it up.”
Kym, who previously won “Dancing with the Stars” during Season 9 with Donnie Osmond, said she thinks David is going to do well because of his attitude.
“He’s not gonna be too serious, so that’s great… That’s the perfect partner,” she said. “He’s not afraid to just go there and put himself out [there], so I’m sure we’ll have a lot of fun.”
While some of the celebrity contestants like Jennifer Grey and singer Brandy are already appearing to be frontrunners in the competition – on name alone, Kym said fans may connect with Bristol Palin’s journey too.
“Bristol is very shy. I think this is so different for her. She’s definitely out of her comfort zone, but people love to see that and I think we’ll see Bristol really blossom through the competition,” she said of the young woman who is paired with pro Mark Ballas. “And she’s gonna be wearing these outfits, which will be different for her. She’s a beautiful girl… I think she’ll look amazing!”
Another pair to look out for in Kym’s eyes? Karina Smirnoff and Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino.
“Karina is from New York, she’s a feisty little one, so I think Karina and ‘The Situation’ will be an incredible couple. It’ll be fireworks with those two,” she said. “It’ll be a battle of the abs between the two of them. Karina’s got an amazing set of abs herself.”
