The details of pop star Michael Jackson’s settlement with a Bahraini prince are to remain confidential, a lawyer for the royal said Monday.
Attorney Bankim Thanki confirmed to London’s High Court that Jackson and Sheik Abdulla bin Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa had settled their legal dispute over a planned music project that fell apart in 2006.
Thanki said details of the agreement would not be disclosed.

Michael Jackson’s former personal assistant told a British court Friday that a Bahraini sheik who is now suing the singer was a generous friend, eager to give Jackson money and other gifts.
Grace Rwaramba said Sheik Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa referred to Jackson as his brother and frequently offered the singer gifts and money.

A perfume company is claiming that Prince and his music publisher failed to honor a contract to help market a fragrance named for the album “3121.”
The breach-of-contract lawsuit was filed by Revelations Perfume and Cosmetics Inc. in New York. The company says it licensed Prince’s name, likeness and the album title “3121” to market its fragrance.

A jury says former “Laguna Beach” personality Jason Wahler owes a tow truck driver $5,000 in damages for a confrontation more than two years ago.
Eight women and four men decided on Thursday that Wahler committed battery on Dario Stevenson. The driver said Wahler punched him in the face and hurled racial slurs at him and other blacks during a fight in September 2006.
