Law Firm Sues Rod Stewart For $3.3 Million

LOS ANGELES, Calif.

A prominent entertainment law firm is suing Rod Stewart for $3.3 million in legal fees it claims he owes.

Glaser, Weil, Fink, Jacobs, Howard & Shapiro filed the case Tuesday in Los Angeles. The firm has numerous high-profile clients and recently won judgments for architect Frank Gehry and television host Bob Barker.

Nicolas Cage’s Former Business Manager Files Counter Suit, Claims Actor Went ‘On A Spending Binge Of Epic Proportions’

LOS ANGELES, Calif.

A former business manager for Nicolas Cage has filed a cross complaint in Los Angeles Superior Court claiming the actor was already deeply in debt when he was hired by the star in 2001.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, last month Cage filed suit against Samuel J. Levin, whom he claimed in court papers was an “incompetent business manager,” and whom he said sent the star, “down a path toward financial ruin.”

But in his cross complaint, filed late last week, Levin claims that when he was hired by Cage in 2001, the actor had already, “squandered tens of millions of dollars he had earned as a movie star, he was deeply in debt, and he owed millions of dollars in accrued but unpaid income taxes, with no funds available to pay the debut.”

LOS ANGELES, Calif.

Zsa Zsa Gabor’s lawyer blames convicted swindler Bernard Madoff for a hefty tax bill owed by his client.

According to documents obtained by The Associated Press on Friday, the Internal Revenue Service filed a lien of more than $118,000 for the years 2001 and 2002 against the 92-year-old actress on Oct. 5 in the Los Angeles County Recorder of Deeds.

The latest blow in Nicolas Cage’s financial battles was dealt on Thursday when two of his New Orleans homes were sold at auction.

The star of films including “Leaving Las Vegas,” and “National Treasure: Book of Secrets” owes over $6 million in back taxes according to the IRS, and the New Orleans homes – located in the historic French Quarter – were sold at auction on Thursday.

Court documents say former supermodel Cindy Crawford and her entrepreneur husband Rande Gerber are the targets of an extortion scheme.

Documents filed Thursday by the FBI and U.S. attorney’s office in U.S. District Court say an acquaintance of the couple’s former nanny has threatened to sell a photo of their then 7-year-old daughter.
