LeAnn Rimes & Eddie Cibrian Engaged!
LeAnn Rimes and her boyfriend, Eddie Cibrian, are engaged, Access Hollywood has confirmed.
A rep for the 37-year-old actor confirmed the happy news to Access on Monday.
According to a People — who was first to report the news, the couple spent Christmas at their home in Los Angeles, where they “had family and close friends in town who helped them celebrate.”
The duo was reportedly spotted on the beach in Malibu on Monday, where the soon-to-bride showed off her dazzling 5-carat oval diamond engagement ring.
“The couple wanted an antique feel, but a new ring,” a source reportedly told the mag, adding that LeAnn and Eddie “designed the ring together with the actor’s childhood friend Brent Polacheck at Polacheck Jewelers.”
LeAnn took to Twitter on Monday afternoon to confirm the news, Tweeting, “For those who haven’t read, Eddie and I got engaged over the holidays. That’s the news. It’s for real this tine [sic] and the first time EVER!
“So funny, my dear publicist is the same rep for Natalie Portman and me,” LeAnn added, in reference to Natalie’s same-day surprise pregnancy and engagement announcement. “So much for his vacation lol!!!”

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, this will be the second marriage for both LeAnn and Eddie.
The couple met while filming the Lifetime TV movie, “Northern Lights” — both stars were married to other people at the time.
LeAnn’s now ex-husband, Dean Sheremet, filed for divorce from the country star on December 17, 2009, citing “irreconcilable differences,” after LeAnn was linked to then-married Eddie.
LeAnn and Dean’s divorce was finalized on June 19.
Eddie filed for divorce from then-wife Brandi Glanville in August 2009, also citing “irreconcilable differences.” The divorce was finalized in October 2010.
Eddie and Brandi have two sons together – Mason, 7, and Jake, 3.
