Vice presidential hopeful Sarah Palin may have been the one at the podium, but it was her pregnant teenage daughter, Bristol, who was grabbing the headlines leading up to Wednesday night’s Republican National Convention.

And while Sarah Palin never directly addressed her daughter’s pregnancy during the 36-minute speech, watched by an audience of nearly 38 million viewers worldwide, Bristol Palin sat in the crowd with the father of her baby – boyfriend Levi Johnston.

And we couldn’t help but notice Levi’s interesting tattoo on his ring finger!

Levi has the word “Bristol” tattooed around his left ring finger, while Bristol was seen wearing what appears to be an engagement ring on her left ring finger as well.

Although no one from the Palin camp has reported any wedding plans for the pair, Bristol’s parents did allude to marriage in their statement announcing their daughter’s pregnancy.

“Our beautiful daughter Bristol came to us with news that as parents we knew would make her grow up faster than we had ever planned. We’re proud of Bristol’s decision to have her baby and even prouder to become grandparents,” Sarah and husband Todd Palin said in a statement. “Bristol and the young man she will marry are going to realize very quickly the difficulties of raising a child, which is why they will have the love and support of our entire family.”
