Lindsay Lohan’s troubles continue.
The 26-year-old actress was arrested and issued a desk appearance ticket after allegedly leaving the scene of an accident early Wednesday in New York City, Access Hollywood has confirmed.
A New York City Police Department rep told Access that Lohan was driving a 2010 Porsche SUV into an alley at 355 West 16th Street between 8th and 9th Avenue on her way to the Dream Downtown hotel when she allegedly struck a male pedestrian.
Lohan went into the Dream Hotel and then later returned to the scene, where she was arrested.
The NYPD Police Department rep also claims the man sustained a knee injury and was taken to Bellevue Hospital.
According to a source, the man had no visible injuries after the incident and was released from the hospital.
The source also told Access that two other unidentified men were also in the car with Lohan at the time. They were not charged.
Lohan is currently scheduled to appear in court on October 23.
Lohan’s rep told Access on Wednesday morning, “While some of the facts are still being gathered, it appears that this is much ado about nothing. We are confident this matter will be cleared up in the coming weeks and the claims being made against Lindsay will be proven untrue.”
A rep for the Dream Downtown hotel has no comment when contacted by Access.
