Lindsay Lohan's OWN Interview Fails To Get Big Ratings
During her interview with Oprah Winfrey on Sunday, Lindsay Lohan said she’s “present and clear-headed and focused,” but it appears TV viewers were focused on watching something else.
The just-released ratings of the first airing of Lohan’s episode of “Oprah’s Next Chapter,” show that only 892,000 people tuned in to hear the headline-making actress talk about her troubles.
In comparison, Oprah’s interview with disgraced cyclist Lance Armstrong pulled in 3.2 million viewers during its first airing in Janurary.
Lohan’s OWN interview – where she vowed to turn her life around and admitted to using cocaine “no more than 15 times” – was aired a again following the initial 9 PM Sunday showing and again on Monday. The combined total for both of Sunday’s telecasts (at 9 PM and 10 PM) was 1.8 million.
Average total viewership for “Oprah’s Next Chapter” is 837,000. The 9 PM interview with Lindsay (892,000 total viewers) was up 7 percent in total viewers and up 6 percent in women aged 25-54 versus the show’s Sunday season average.
