Amy Winehouse’s father greeted mourners laying flowers outside her north London home on Monday, only hours before police promised to release a post mortem on her death.
Mitch Winehouse thanked people for coming to lay bouquets, messages and handwritten notes. He also thanked photographers and camera crews covering the event.
“This means so much to my family,” he said.

Last night, downtown Los Angeles was transformed into an East Village performance art scene on steroids as Lady Gaga returned to the Staples Center with her Monster’s Ball tour, this time with opening act Scissor Sisters in tow. There was no shortage of Little Monster look-a-likes in the audience. From the looks of the crowd, Halloween seemed to come early this year. Ultimately, the still slightly unseasoned live performer delivered a rousing rendition of her uberly-successful show, celebrating her 25th birthday with the city of Angels.

On the eve of Lollapalooza’s kick-off Friday in Chicago’s Grant Park, festival founder Perry Farrell took some time to talk with AccessHollywood.com’s Managing Editor about what fans can expect this year, and why the pop/electro crossover being provided by Friday night headliner Lady Gaga is exactly what the festival needs, 19 years after it first launched celebrating the intersection of rap and rock.

The line-up for a revived 2009 Lollapalooza mega-concert tour has been announced. Depeche Mode, Tool, The Killers, a reunited Jane’s Addiction, Beastie Boys, and Kings of Leon will headline, joined by Lou Reed, Ben Harper and Relentless7, Thievery Corporation, Snoop Dogg, and Rise Against, who are all also slated to perform at Grant Park in Chicago for the summer musical festival August 7-9.
