LOS ANGELES, Calif. --
Jennie Garth and Tori Spelling are returning to the halls of West Beverly High School in the new “90210” spin-off, but one familiar face with no plans to make an appearance is Luke Perry.
Luke, who played teen heartthrob Dylan McKay, will not reprise his role in the new series, the actor told “The Billy Bush Show.”
“I can’t re-imagine it currently,” Luke told Billy during a recent phone call from Italy.
While his former on-screen classmate Ian Ziering has expressed an interest in appearing on the show, Luke has made no effort to chase down a role on The CW’s upcoming program.
“It’s just not something that I’ve thought about to be quite honest,” Luke said. “I don’t see it happening.”
Though he may not reunite on screen with Jennie, who played his sometime lover Kelly Taylor, or Tori, who played pal Donna Martin, he has nothing but fond feelings for the gang — new and old.
“I wish them a lot of luck. I hope they have a lot of success with it,” he said.
Luke will appear on television next week. He’ll star in the Hallmark Channel’s “A Gunfighter’s Pledge” airing on Saturday, July 5th at 9 PM.
