LOS ANGELES, Calif. --

Former Beatle Paul McCartney thrilled hundreds of lucky fans last night, performing his second secret show in under a month, stateside.

Fans learned McCartney was due to play a secret show at Amoeba Records on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles following radio reports and began lining up earlier this week. Dozens of fans camped out, sleeping in the rough for several days to guarantee a spot inside the shop where Sir Paul finally hit the stage, Wednesday night just after 8PM.

McCartney played a 21 song, ninety minute set for a packed in-store crowd, while hundreds more watched through the windows and attempted to listen from the surrounding streets. Among the attendees of the gig were Paul’s former bandmate and fellow Fab Four member — Ringo Starr, Starr’s wife Barbara Bach and George Harrison’s wife Olivia.

The set opened with the Beatles standard “Drive My Car,” as fans erupted in an uproarious cheer. The jovial Liverpudlian quickly moved through a host of songs including “Dance Tonight,” from his new CD “Memory Almost Full.”

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, McCartney’s set was such a draw in the area, it prompted CNN to record their interview with Paris Hilton on “Larry King Live,” early due to street closures.

Fans who braved the masses were treated to a host of Beatles classics such as “The Long And Winding Road,” “Blackbird,” and “Back In The USSR.” McCartney dedicated his song about John — “Here Today,” to Lennon and George Harrison. While playing it he became choked up and had to regain his composure.

McCartney ended the set with a heavy slew of hits – “Hey Jude,” “Let It Be” and “Lady Madonna.” Before leaving he also signed a handful of autographs.
